Odyssea
Odyssea is a 15 acre lake which is home to some very big carp to over 60lbs. It is just 3 hours drive from Calais and can be fished by up to 8 anglers. Booking can be per swim or a lake exclusive booking. The lake opens for the first time in 2023 having previously been unfished for almost a decade.
The lake was originally dug for gravel extraction and stocked with a variety of coarse fish including carp. It is estimated that there are between 150 and 250 original carp. A further 50 carp added the lake in 2022 and another 30 in December 2023.
Prior to the lake being purchased by the new owner, the lake has not been regularly fished allowing the fish and surrounding banks to grow relatively undisturbed. The original carp have so far been caught to over 50lbs, but many of the fish remain uncaught and with larger fish believed to be present.
The carp which were stocked are a mixture of commons and mirrors have been stocked between 27lbs and 60lbs with an average size of 35lbs. A handful of koi carp have also been stocked.
Odyssea is stream fed and has excellent water quality. There are 2 peninsulas and 4 distinct bays. There are four double swims which have been created, swim 2 has a cabin which can be fished from. There is a lake map within the photos.
Rowing boats for locating spots and baiting up can be hired at the lake. Well behaved dogs are permitted.

- krill blood worm squid 20mm 50 € per 5kg bag
- kipik boilies
- fishmeal and chilli flakes spicy 20mm 39,90 € 5kg bag
- maize 2,5 € per kilos
- wheat 1,5€ per kilos
- jars of hemp 3 litres 18€
- tigers nuts jars 3 litres 18€
- hard hook baits pop up liquid also
- Rowing boats are permitted and can be hired at the lake
- A Euro 5 rubbish tax is payable on arrival
- You are not permitted to use your own rowing boat
- Bait boats are allowed
- Do not swim in the lake
- Fish safe rigs only, no fixed leads
- Micro barbed hooks only
- Mono mainline only, no braided mainline
- Leadcore leaders are not allowed
- All fish to be unhooked, weighed in the water and photographed in the water
- Rig tubing must be used
- 3 rods per anger
- Each angler must have an adequate size landing net, at least 40 inches, a weigh sling and large carp mat
- Keep the fish out of the water for as little time as possible and use carp care kit on hookholds
- Anti social behaviour will not be tolerated
- Bbqs are permitted as long as they are off the ground
- Do not leave rubbish in your swim
- Be respectful of other anglers
- Dogs are allowed if they are well behaved
- The lake is under video surveillance
- Failure to comply with the rules may result in you being asked to leave early with no refund
