Bluu Lake is a small natural intimate lake, suitable for two anglers. It is just over an acre in size with an average depth of 6 foot. For a relatively small lake it holds some very large carp to over 50lbs and an average size of over 30lbs.
There is a superb well equipped small lakeside cabin for 2 anglers to fish from and sleep in. The cabin has a sleeping area as well as a kitchen and toilet. The cabin is located on a double swim ensuring each angler has plenty of water to fish to.
Opening for bookings for the first time in 2024, the lake has been 5 years in the making and stocked with a large head of carp as well as a few cats and sturgeon. Surrounded by mature overhanging trees with deep margins, this intimate lake is aimed at serious anglers looking to cut their teeth on a specimen lake.
Bluu lake is on the same site as Barbret Lake
Bookings are Saturday to Saturday – check at 4pm and checkout at 10am the following Saturday
All essential carp care and handling equipment is provided at no extra charge, including chairs, cradles, weigh slings, unhooking mats, landing nets, and barrows.
For anglers requiring a complete setup, the following hire packages are available:
- A 2-rod package, including a rod pod, alarms, and receiver: £80 per person, per week
- A 3-rod package, including a rod pod, alarms, and receiver: £100 per person, per week
A selection of high-quality bait is available to pre-order before your stay:
- Freezer-fresh boilies (18–20mm): £12.00 per kg
- House pellets (11mm): £4.00 per kg
- House particle mix: £4.00 per kg
- Flavoured glugs (various options): £8.00
- Pop-ups: £8.00
- Hard hook baits: £8.00
- Wafters: £8.00
Choose from a range of catering options to suit your stay:
- Full package (all meals included): £215.00 per person, per week
- Half board: £190.00 per person, per week

Welcome Pack
A convenient starter pack is available for £40.00, which includes washing-up liquid, bread, butter, milk, tea bags, coffee, sugar, bottled water, red and white wine, and a case of French beers.
Our House Rules are very sensible and fair
1 – Zero fixed leads.
2 – Zero lead core.
3 – Micro barb hooks only.
4 – Fish care priority.
5 -Tiger nuts can be used as hook baits only, heavy baiting with nuts is prohibited.
6 – Noise levels to be kept at a sensible level.
7 – Everyone enjoys a drink but when drinking heavily rods should be reeled in. However, drunken behaviour will not be tolerated and you will be asked to leave
8 – Open fires are strictly prohibited and in the event a guest lights a fire they will be asked to leave the lake without question
