Special Offer for June – All weeks for lake exclusive available for 1000 Euros for up to 6 anglers
L’etang de la Villedieu is an 18 acre lake located in south west France with over a large head of 40lbs carp to over 60lbs. The lake can be fished by a maximum of 6 anglers and is available for exclusive bookings or per angler bookings.
There are approximately 10 carp over 50lbs, around 50 carp between 40 and 50lbs and about 130 carp between 30 and 40lbs.
On the opening week of the 2023 season 99 carp we landed including including 3 50s and 13 over 40 with an average size over just over 30lbs.
There are 10 swims spread around the lake which are a mixture of single and double swims. 3 of the swims can only be accessed by boat.
The lake bed is a similar make up to that of an estate lake as it is a mixture of silt and gravel areas. There are 3 stream beds that cross through the lake at various parts. The depth is around 4 metres at the deepest end of the lake. At the shallowest end an island has been created. Mature trees surround the lake providing both cover and marginal holding areas where the carp frequent.
L’etang de la Villedieu opens for the first time in 2023 after a lot of hard work by the new lake owners to create a superb fishery. The setting is idyllic with the lake surrounded by mature forests and farmers’ fields as far as you can see. All you can hear is sounds of the birds singing, the carp rolling and hopefully your bite alarm screaming!
The lake can be dated back to the 1700s. It was once owned and within the grounds La Villedieu Chateau. However, the surrounding land and lake has been sold to the current lake owners.
Booking at Saturday to Saturday. The lake can be booked exclusively. Per angler bookings are only available in July, August and November.
Bait can be purchased on site. It is recommended to pre-order before your trip
