Myself and my friend Jamie had the best week at Smithys carp lakes we were moved onto Jimmys lake by Peter the owner which was fine by use due to the incredibly hot weather and slightly lower water levels on Als lake. We both had some lovely fish mine being mostly high 20’s a few high doubles and one at 42.2. Jamie had a much more impressive haul with fish from high doubles 20’s 30’s 40’s and the best being 52.7. Peter was a great host with lots of info on the lake if you wanted it and the food was great home cooked and plenty of it! Never went hungry!! Breakfast was my favourite with the locally sourced produce and fruit juices.
If peter was going up to the shops during the day he would always come and see if we needed anything which was a nice touch not all places are like that!! All in all a great week was had by both of us thanks Peter.👍🏻
