Stunning venue, a beautiful lake which is apparently in the geographical centre of France. The lake is immaculately kept and the facilities are excellent. The owner, Alan Brackenridge, and his wife Shelley were lovely, they clearly wanted our week to be a success and were so helpful and accommodating. Our group of 4 loved it so much we had already booked to go back within a week of returning home.
The weather for the whole week was a real mixed bag of warm sun, wind, rain, hail and thunderstorms which made the fishing unpredictable. Between the 4 of us we managed 15 runs landing 8 carp between 21 pounds and 48 and a half pounds. Owner Alan said he would normally have expected similar numbers per person but the unseasonable weather had certainly had an effect.
Overall we thoroughly enjoyed the week and will be going back to try and catch some of the bigger Carp that undoubtedly reside in the lake. Will Glennie
