Catch Report – La Saussaie (18/4 – 24/4)
It was a challenging week at La Saussaie, with a north-easterly wind picking up towards Sunday. Night temperatures dropped as low as 1°C, while daytime temperatures reached around 18°C.
Despite the tough conditions and heavy angling pressure on the lake, the guys still managed to catch a few carp and even smashed a couple of personal bests.
The well-known Two Tone Common was landed on the first morning at an impressive 59lb 12oz. Then, just one night before the end of the week, the Slate Grey made an appearance at 55lb.
In total, only five carp were landed throughout the week, with a few unfortunately lost. However, with another common weighing in at 53lb, the average weight remained very high.
All in all, despite the slower action, the group had a great week. The weather improved towards the end, and everyone left keen to return.
