We had a wonderful week at Hideaway Lake and feel like we’ve had a ‘proper holiday’.
We were greeted with a very warm welcome which set the tone for the week.
The food was delicious, the cabins were very cosy and the toilet and shower facilities were great.
Steve and family were always on hand to answer any questions and were extremely accommodating to our needs.
The carp fishing was fantastic with two of us breaking pb’s. The fish were immaculate and Steve was incredibly generous with his time, teaching us so much about rigs, and would not stop until we’d achieved our goal.
The site is deep in the Normandy countryside and feels very well managed whilst maintaining a natural, tranquil and unspoilt atmosphere .
We enjoyed visiting the medieval town of Domfront (10 minute drive from Hideaway) for the local cafes and boulangerie.
We enjoyed a very peaceful week, spending our evenings around the fire listening to the resident owl.
We found it the perfect place to enjoy a combination of fishing, family time and exploring local towns and villages.
