We stayed at the gîte with friends and had a lovely, relaxing week. The accommodation was comfortable, well-equipped, and had everything we needed. The above-ground pool was especially appreciated in the extreme heat, with temperatures reaching around 41°C. Even the pool warmed up to around 35°C, which shows just how hot it was!
The fishing lake is well maintained and looked great. Unfortunately, the exceptional weather conditions made fishing quite challenging during our stay. The prolonged high temperatures seemed to affect fish activity, and while we spent plenty of time on the bank, the fish were understandably not feeding much. We even noticed a few dead pike, which we suspect was related to the unusually hot conditions rather than anything specific to the venue.
Despite the difficult fishing, we still had a great holiday. The peaceful setting, comfortable gîte, and refreshing pool made it a very enjoyable place to stay. We’d be happy to return under more typical weather conditions and would expect the fishing to be very different.
